I was looking through Flower Language meanings and I saw that grass can mean ‘homosexual love’ and now I’m crying myself in laughter imagining some guy dumping lawn clippings onto his crush’s porch screaming ‘I FUCCKIN LOVE U YOU GAY PIECE OF SHIT’.
- satine’s whole bird-in-a-cage ‘one day I’ll fly away’ imagery, talk about being in the closet
- Christian’s entire character. what man is that sensitive and considerate? a butch lesbian in a nice old-timey shirt, on the other hand…
- you ever watch that scene where they sing together on the elephant and you’re like, why the hell would a het couple be so reluctant and scared. there’s an easy solution to that, my friend
- imagine the ‘roxanne’ number but with the added theme of a lesbian couple being trodden down by a heteronormative world. powerful, I tell you
- the duke is a much more upsetting antagonist as a whole when you consider him as a threat to a lesbian couple’s happiness, actually
- Toulouse lautrec hanging out with them would also make a ton more sense, historically
- ‘freedom, beauty, truth and love’ maaaaaate
more
- ‘it’s about love overcoming all obstacles!’
- ‘silly of me to think you could fall in love with someone like me’ 👀👀👀
- ‘we should be lovers’ ‘we can’t do that’ :0
- the moon sings in celebration every time they make out like come on
- they’re so bad at hiding as a couple tbh they could only get away with it due to Gal Pal Syndrome
Yeah tbh lack of lgbt spaces really hurts. I want to meet other lgbt+ people in a situation that is not inherently sexual, alcoholic or online.
If you take out dating, internet, and clubbing, you pretty much eliminate any reason you’d have to segregate anyways. Literally just go out and make friends, and then make more friends, and eventually you’ll meet some that are lgbt+. If you’re in a hurry, start at like Starbucks or something.
Do straight people understand anything
*standing on a table* THERE ANY GAYS IN THIS STARBUCKS?
